His name is Bach (pronounced like the pianist).

We asked her a bunch of questions about her new friend that she was more than delighted to answer. Here is a brief profile.

Bach is a boy. 2 years old. Red and green hair, brown eyes. He has a big nose (she was adamant about that detail). He enjoys the library and the mall. Apparently they were holding hands recently at the mall when they went to get ice cream with sprinkles on top. Bach has a mommy and a daddy, and apparently a license too (she said he drives the car). She said that God teaches them things like, “God is always with us” and “Be kind to one another”.

It’ll be fun to see how her friendship unfolds.

Sophia had some fun milestones today that we wanted to share with you! She “ran” in her second 5k this morning– she did great! We went to the Virginia Highlands Summer Fest with some friends and their little boy– it was neat for her to soak everything in–she loved being outside and watching all the people. Before bedtime, we were playing with her toys, and she started sharing! She had a rattle in her hand and was passing it back and forth from her face to mine, several times. She did the same thing with one other toy as well. It was the cutest thing ever! After that, we were getting ready to put her to bed and we said, “Say bye-bye”.. one arm shot up, and she started opening and closing her first and waving. We love her! We are so thankful for these small yet precious moments to watch her grow, it has truly been an amazing blessing!
