Plan B was written by Pete Wilson, a young pastor out of Nashville, TN. Seeing that I’ve connected with him a few times through Twitter and his blog, I was excited to dig in and read his new book. My first reaction upon reading the book to you: go out, buy it and read it!

The message of Plan B and the truth’s that Pete communicated struck home in many ways every single time I picked up the book. Not only is Plan B a timely book for our society in general, but it was also a timely read for my life right now. Right at the get-go, Pete asks “What do you do when God doesn’t show up the way you thought he wouldn’t?” That went straight to my heart—throughout high school, college, and even now as a married Dad of two small girls, I’ve had many plans in my life not turn out the way I expected them to turn out. My question each time was “What am I supposed to do now?” and “God, I know you’re there but how are you leading me in this circumstance?”

Plan B takes an honest look at these situations, gives sincere encouragement and relays Biblical truth about God and His plan for your life. If you are looking for a straightforward, honest read, I highly recommend this book! Pete seamlessly incorporates personal experiences, funny stories (who can’t laugh at his son Gage’s pool story? I literally laughed out loud.), and spiritual insights in a very relatable way. I appreciate honesty and authenticity, and you’ll get this on every single page of Plan B.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
