Friends Forever
Yes, I typed that title with Zach Morris' life song in mind. But anyway, we were able to reconnect with some of Jen's highschool friends over the holidays (Lisa came in town from CA, Nino in from TX, and Laura is local in the ATL). Thanks to Lisa, Sophie learned how to "shake your bum bum".
Uniting Runners Across the Country
OK, well maybe not. But Jenell did come into town from Austin, TX. The day after Christmas, Jen and Jenell ran a 5K (along w/ Jenell's sister). I was jealous that they hit up The Flying Biscuit on their way out.
Cumming Country Fair and Festival
Last night (Sunday) we went to the Cumming Country Fair and Festival. Thankfully the weather held up, and we were able to go with the Mechwarts for a few hours. Living in the area for 15 years or so, I was surprised that I had never been before. We were excited to take the girls as well... and knew that Sophie would have a good time on some of the smaller rides. We would definitely go again!

Rosemary Beach
Over Labor Day weekend, we went with some friends to Rosemary Beach, FL. It was a blast! All in all, there were 6 "adults" and 4 kids under two years old. We rented a beach house a short 5 minute walk to the water and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, clear water, and great company! It was fun to see all the kids play with each other and just have some time to get away. Here are some of the best pictures from our trip!
The BFF Bday Girl
Jen got to hang out with her BFF, Sloan, for her birthday on September 1st. Well, I call them BFFs... and I'm sure they would too!
A Requiem in the Garden
On August 28th we went down to ATL to see our college friend's, Gyun, art exhibit ("A Requiem in the Garden"). It was fantastic! It was held at the Stokes Gallery. I've included some pictures below, but if you want to see more head over here.
BFFE?
BFFE - Best Friends Forever? You decide! (or maybe just mini versions of Jen and Laura)

Lily and Sophie
Happy 4th!
I ran the Peachtree Roadrace early Saturday morning with a buddy from church and a buddy from work. It was a lot of fun (no stopping, all business!). I met up with Jen and the girls at my parents house (they had been hanging out there in the morning). But, after the early morning run, I (and Soph) needed a nap. As we were about to leave to head home, we went outside and saw Sophie and my Dad doing a little impromptu sprinkler session. Fun times! Later in the evening, we hung out with Kevin and Kimberly at their house--ate dinner and did a few fireworks (sparklers and the "Purple Rain").
